What if I can’t make my reservation?
Crosswhite Athletic Club does not offer refunds in the event of cancellation of services, bookings, events, or club registrations. We are happy to reschedule or provide you with a club credit.
Cancellation fees may apply to certain bookings: Members must cancel bookings 24 hours prior to the respective booking. Failure to give proper notice or show up to a reservation will result in a $20 tennis fee or $15 pickleball fee charged to the members account.
How do I change or cancel my membership?
All LYNCHBURG membership account reviews, revisions, or discounts can be requested by emailing membership@crosswhiteathleticclub.com. For all SMITH MOUNTAIN LAKE membership account reviews, revisions, or discounts can be emailed to crosswhiteathleticclubSML@gmail.com. All membership cancellations must be requested via email prior to the 25th of each month. Cancellation requests made over phone, social media, voicemail, or in-person cannot be honored due to your account privacy. The cancellation email must be sent from the same email address that is on your account.
How much time do pool parties get?
Our two-hour package includes 1 hour and 15 minutes of pool time, with the final 45 minutes set aside for "dry time" (this helps protect your family and friends from party fouls that happen when kids go swimming after eating). This is our most booked option for kids under 10!
All parties have an hour of set-up time prior to the party starting, and 20 minutes of "kid load up" after the party ends. If your family chooses a 12pm party, this looks like your decorating time starting at 11am, party at 12, kids out of the water at 1:15, and everybody out of the party room by 2:20pm!
What is your smallest party package?
If you're looking for a more economical rate, in Lynchburg our Simple Celebration package for $200 provides a lifeguard for up to 15 swimmers for 2 hours with your guests during our business hours. This is most similar to purchasing guest wristbands to our pool, but with the added safety a lifeguard provides, and the comfort of our party room. This doesn't include a set-up time, but we do still offer the 20-minute load up. Unlike our other party packages, we do not close off our pool to members or swim lessons for the duration of your party, so your guests may make friends in the pool or in the lobby!
What are the club hours?
Our hours remain the same across all of our locations- we are open Monday-Friday 6am-8pm, Saturday 8am-4pm, and Sunday 12pm-4pm.
What holidays does Crosswhite Athletic Club close for?
In 2024, Crosswhite Athletic Club closed for New Year’s Day, Easter Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day. We had limited hours on Independence Day and New Year’s Eve.
Do I need a membership?
In short- no! Our members have great amenities offered to them for free or significantly discounted. But you don’t need to be a member to book a court, plan a party, or schedule a massage! Check out the “Members & Guests” page for our Lynchburg day passes and see what programs we can plug you into- if you see something you like, our Membership Coordinator is waiting to help you! What discounts or programs do you offer?
We offer discounts for military service members, first responders, senior citizens, and Centra employees. To see if your employer has partnered with us, check the “Partners” page for all other discounts! Think we missed one? Drop us a line below!
Do you have an initiation fee?
We do! As a small business, we appreciate every single member that joins us, and this fee helps offset the administrative costs associated with our operations. Every so often, we announce a discount or completely waive this fee as a gift to the community! Make sure you watch our social media for Black Friday or special programs throughout the year.
